Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Thanks. He’s supposed to be on the mend but he’s not out of the woods yet and he’s over 80.
Sorry your dad is having health problems. My parents are also in their 80’s, and today is mom’s 82 b-day.
James: My mother is 75 and at that age, things get somehow difficult. But the Lord is good and does good, so each and every day He watches over us all, so tell your Dad that he is not alone, nor will be ever.
I also pray that that your Dad will get better soon.

@Chaya and @James: What a blessing… My Mother’s birthday was on Saturday the 19th!
Talked to Mom a little while ago. Dad’s doing a bit better but he still has his ups and downs. Good news is that he’s on a solid diet now. His oxygen levels are at 100% when he’s sitting up but he labors to breathe when he’s lying down. The doctor guessimates that Dad will be inpatient another three days or so.
Mom spent the night w/him last night at the hospital. She’s exhausted and will stay home to get some rest tonight. This is when it’s tough to live so far away but Hashem is watching over Dad, may He be merciful and kind.
Just heard from my wife, who just heard from my sister-in-law, who just heard from Mom. Turns out Dad has pneumonia and some problem with E Coli. His doc says that they can take care of him and get him back on his feet. The news just about knocked me off mine, but my wife says this is good news.
Baruch Hashem. His blessings know no limit.
Emunah in HaShem is what makes us live, and He will guide the doctors to do what it takes to get your Dad back home. He is surely good.
Just a short update. Mom called a little while ago to say that Dad’s back home. He’s really weak but his fever’s been gone for over a day and he can eat and hold down solid food.
Mom saw this blog post and printed it out for Dad to read. I think he was really touched and I’m glad he was able to read it. May God continue to provide a complete healing for Dad, physically, spiritually, and in every way, blessed be God’s Name.
