I read a story in the Jewish World Review called West Bank Jews invite Muslims over for the holidays to try for some bonding. It was published on October 21st, and describes the mayor of Efrat, a “bedroom community of 10,000 affluent Jews, including many Americans, a few miles south of Bethlehem” inviting “Palestinians from surrounding villages to come to his house and celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkos, the Feast of the Tabernacles.”
A few dozen Palestinians accepted the offer and came. It wasn’t perfect. The Israelis were armed and the Palestinians weren’t. It seems like a good time was to be had but rather tentatively.
I encourage you to read the story because I want to contrast it with what’s currently going on in the United States now that Donald Trump is the President-Elect.
There have been numerous protests over Trump’s win, some of them breaking into such violence that even extremely liberal Portland, Oregon has had enough.
A number of groups feel vulnerable and threatened by Trump including the LGBT community, tech and liberal driven Silicon Valley in California, New Yorkers, College Students, women, Muslims, Mexicans (specifically undocumented aliens), and just about every pundit who can keyboard and has internet access.
The point is, whether you voted for Clinton or Trump, we all have to live with at least four years of a Trump Presidency. It’s one thing to ask what are we going to do with Trump as the President and another thing to ask what are we going to do with each other.
Even in my own little corner of Idaho, some people are upset, although thankfully, the are peacefully protesting rather than rioting.
Feminists have their own theories about why women voted for Trump rather than Clinton. At least according to celebrity Mike Rowe, we should know who voted for Trump and why. And at least according to The Jerusalem Post, Israel is very optimistic about a Trump Presidency.
But that doesn’t solve the problem of the polarization of America. For the past eight years, Barack Obama has increased the racial divide between whites and people of color dramatically. One would expect an African-American President to be ideally placed to promote racial healing, but instead, he did the opposite, and we’ve reaped the “benefits” in responses such as Black Lives Matter.
The liberal press and entertainment industry, which controls most of what we see on television, films, and other media, think that all America is or should be like them. Problem is, the real America isn’t one thing and it certainly isn’t the progressive ideal, which is how it was possible for Trump to be elected.
Of course people with different social and political views are going to disagree, but that doesn’t necessarily have to translate into violent riots, “cry-ins” on university campuses, and the wholesale belief that Trump is going to dial American law and culture back sixty years.
Trump hasn’t done anything yet except talk and the nation has already panicked. What are we all going to do on January 20th and going forward when Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States?
I don’t know.
I know we all need to see some commonality in ourselves as Americans. We’ll never be a united nation as long as any one group expects everyone else to submit to them. We’re supposed to recognize the differences between each other and accept that diversity.
Unfortunately, that’s not happening. Diversity is accepted only as long as it’s on the official “approved” list. Acceptance and unity doesn’t exist unless it includes everyone, even people we disagree with.
In the end, there will be only one King and all this petty bickering will be silenced. Until then, we have a responsiblity to promote peace with our neighbors, even if we don’t like them.

Agreed…I have been attempting to make sure that the few liberals I know are aware that no President is all-powerful, and that even with a Republican Senate and House, it will be no smooth ride for anything to get done at all, and writing where I can where people are scared, because they have bought into what the Media have been saying for years.
It is unfortunate that Soro’s and other Wealthy Liberals are paying people to protest, and to cause division, and encouraging such division with anxiety ridden reports in the MSM. I feel like we have entered the rapids on a swift moving stream, and have to endure all the bumps and crashing from rock to rock until we are over this bad patch, and come into calmer waters. And so, I pray…and ask others to.
All I’m gonna say is I like Mike Rowe. No, don’t draw a conclusion from that of who I voted for. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be on the Trump fan list of “approved” neighbors. And, no, don’t conclude from that who I voted for. I’m uncomfortable with a lot that’s been said.
Not that it’s supposed to matter.
Note: Hillary Clinton “isn’t the progressive ideal,” which IS how it was possible for Trump to be elected.

P.S. : Have you not noticed the Plan of God, the many different dispensational transitions in every Covenant (READ PARAGRAPH 3) God made? To chime in… of my four grandparents, one is of Romanian heritage and one of Czech heritage [they spoke “German” with each other (not the language of either country)]. Other two: English, Scottish.
But I didn’t learn any foreign language or even accent from any of them. The Czech grandfather died when I was five (I understand he enjoyed me). The Romanian grandmother came here at four.
I don’t know when the ones of the British Isles became American back in the lives of their/our ancestors; far enough back, there were no particular accents (except slight Virginian in my grandmother).

And will conceive and give birth to a child or the Wisdom of God and name it Yeshua or Jesus. Which only meant, that this is only the explanation made by the Evangelist on how God will work out his Promise Sending of Son’s Savior Messiah to the Chosen Call Out Israelites (no to gentile) to become his servants, if were given Knowledge Wisdom and conceive it or to increase their lower knowledge into higher full knowledge, and at the time of its giving birth or at the time of their conceiving knowledge is proclaim spoken word that came out of the mouth of the virgin prophet or ekklesia. We still think that the Israelite world is still do not know or understand the meaning of this applied Universal Judgment. Besides, they have been already passed by this Messianic Covenant Judgment executed by Yeshua Messiah himself at his glory ever since 1st Century, which also already took end since last 1993 in Mt. 25:31-46. And the accomplishment revelation report by A.John that only the 144,000 Chosen Call Out Israelite were accounted for redeemed and saved by Yeshua Messiah (no to gentiles). Thou now know that there was really the 1st Applied Pre-final Universal Judgment that was executed by Yeshua Messiah ever since 1st Century of his Covenant Glory. Many really do not know or really do not understand or may be just ignoring the truth of the Salvation Knowledge which is the main major criteria in the faith essence teaching of God in their observance that was written in the Holy Bible, especially in the Period of the New Covenant Plan of God which is now known as the N.T. gospels, which Yeshua Messiah himself proclaimed and even shown himself as an example to his countrymen, the proper observance of the faith in this Will Plan of God! Although these were only few of the many IMPOSE PROHIBITION and MANDATORILY ORDER by God and yet many were still ignoring it and even overcoming it instead, as if they were the one who is more authoritative than God! When the truth, it is these main major faith essence of the teachings of God made. And yet they are still proclaing they have a very big faith to Yeshua Messiah even without compliances to many prohibition which thou could see it through their personal character!
Why not double check it in Lk. 1:49-55.. And on V-49 read it, and on V-50, “and his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation ff up to verse 55. Can not anybody or anyone ever bother to check the Truth of the Salvation Knowledge and inform those people in their faith beliefs which were now in the very big problem of many world religion that even their believers were also affected of not just anymore a simple problem but it is now a very complicated problem (sin), as to what they have also done up to date! Besides, they were only consider as unclassified faith believers for not in conformity to the Will Plan of God, to the reason of their confusion and really do not know it! And what for also to not knowing the Pre-final Judgment or the Universal Final Judgment, which was already executed and applied since 1st Century in Mt. 25:31-46, which can proved for their condemnation but they just only ignore it for not really knowing it also! And what for also to many Major and Minor Prohibition in the New Covenants Plan, which many also directly and indirectly transgressing them for not also knowing it, that it was all impose mandatorily by God, for the Truth it is already hisJudgment to them that will not obey and follows. Now, with all these reasoning of not knowing, can these be an excusable or a forgiveable sin to God or not? As it is witten, if God did not make a proposal to this New Covenants Plan and it is implemented. And was put into writings order in the gospel! Can’t anybody understand that our God is very serious in these Plan? Thats why a slight contradiction to the Plan is already a mistake or an act of oppossing it and also of an attitude of inderect rejection is already unforgiveable sin as in Mt. 12:31-32, that a sin to the Holy Spirit is unforgiveable!
Why can not those people ever think or ever knew this Truth? Its because they did not seriously read the NT book or maybe they read it but did not really entreat God to help guide them by the Holy Spirit! Anyway, even their pastor, priest, minister, imam and rabbi also do not understand it, inspite of mediating them to God. Which only cause them to much complicated problems. But this was already for warned by A. Paul in 2Tes. 2:10-12, and in verse 11- for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. And on verse 12- that they all might be damned who believe not the Truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. So, is it not these all advices of A. Paul is the effect of the “Curse Judgment” made by Yeshua Messiah in Mt. 25:41, that all gentiles were all already automatically comdemn, possesing of this Curse Judgment. And this Curse Judgment have a spiritual power to induce or attract them to make more sin and even to much gravest sin! And this can be only clean by the Blood of Yeshua Messiah. But the problem is, this is only given and rewarded to the Covenantal People and no to the literal gentiles! And to this, why is it those gentile priest, pastor, minister of those psuedo gentile christian religions were executing “exorcism,” when the truth they have much more committed transgression to the Covenants Plan of God than to those ordinary people believers!
